Eswatini: Dental Care and Oral Health Education

In February this year, the Feng-Xing Overseas Medical Service Team from Taipei Medical University once again traveled to the Kingdom of Eswatini, a diplomatic ally in Africa, to carry out a series of free medical outreach activities in rural communities.
TFCF Eswatini invited many children from local Neighbourhood Care Points (NCPs) to participate. For many of them, it was their first time receiving a dental checkup, and they felt both curious and a little nervous.
In addition to providing medical consultations, the Feng-Xing Overseas Medical Service Team also delivered valuable health education sessions, teaching essential topics such as wound care, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and the Heimlich maneuver. They also explained the importance of dental and lung health in a lively and easy-to-understand way, sparking the children's interest and awareness in health matters.
The combination of education and entertainment made the activities highly engaging and well-received in the local communities. After concluding their programs at the NCPs, the Feng-Xing Overseas Medical Service Team continued their journey across Eswatini, offering health education and free medical services, making a meaningful contribution to the wellbeing of the local population.
We sincerely thank theFeng-Xing Overseas Medical Service Team and look forward to continuing to strengthen interdisciplinary cooperation in the future!
